In January 2020, the European Commission proposed laws to standardize charger ports. In October 2022, Apple released the Siri Remote for the 3rd generation Apple TV 4K with a USB-C connector, becoming Apple's first accessory to charge via USB-C. In October 2018, following the implementation of USB-C across the Mac lineup, Apple released a range of iPad Pro models that replaced Lightning with it the 2020 iPad Air (4th generation), 2021 iPad Mini (6th generation), and 2022 iPad (10th generation) similarly replaced Lightning with USB-C. The only accessory released with USB 3.0 support is the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. The first-generation iPad Pro, released in 2015, features the first Lightning connector supporting USB 3.0 host. Apple was given a partial transfer of the Lightning trademark, suggesting that Harley-Davidson likely retained the rights to use the name for motorcycle-related products. On November 25, 2012, Apple acquired the "Lightning" trademark in Europe from Harley-Davidson. The iPod Touch (5th generation), iPod Nano (7th generation), iPad (4th generation) and iPad Mini (1st generation) followed in October and November 2012 as the first devices with Lightning. The Lightning connector was introduced on September 12, 2012, with the iPhone 5, as a replacement for the 30-pin dock connector. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, announced on September 12, 2023, became the first iPhones to use USB-C, and the last few Lightning accessories will make the transition by 2025. In response to legislation to standardize charging ports passed in 2022, Apple said it would comply with regulations. In 2018, Apple began transitioning to USB-C on iPad Pros and accessories. The plug is indented on each side to match up with corresponding points inside the receptacle to retain the connection. Using 8 pins instead of 30, Lightning is much smaller than its predecessor. The Lightning connector is used to connect Apple mobile devices like iPhones, iPads, and iPods to host computers, external monitors, cameras, USB battery chargers, and other peripherals. It was introduced on September 12, 2012, in conjunction with the iPhone 5, to replace its predecessor, the 30-pin dock connector. Lightning is a proprietary computer bus and power connector, created and designed by Apple Inc. (No swapping occurs if the accessory identification chip is connected to the ID0 pin.) Lane 0 and 1 may be swapped in the IC of the device connector. Top-down view of a Lightning connector, showing one side of eight pins

Use the image as a guide for understanding the formula. The Triangular Prism Surface Area calculation Formula: SA bh + (s1 + s2 + s3)l. There is a different surface area formula for each shape. TSA (2 × Base Area) + (Perimeter × Height) here, height is the distance between the 2 bases or the length of the prism. Total Surface Area (TSA) (2 × Base Area) + LSA. Lateral Surface Area (LSA) Perimeter × Height. The surface area of the triangular prism is the sum total of the areas of its bases and its lateral faces. Like all other polyhedrons, a prism also has a surface area and a volume. A triangular prism is a prism that has two congruent triangles as its bases connected by three rectangular lateral faces. The calculator above can easily find the surface area for a shape, but you can also find it using a formula. In this lesson, we learn how to find the surface area of a triangular prism. If your measurements are in different units, convert each measurement to the same unit first, then use the formulas below to solve. When calculating surface area, taking all measurements using the same unit of measure, such as inches or feet, is important. Step 2: Utilise the surface area formula for prisms: (2 × × Base Area) + (Base perimeter × × height), and replace the variables with the recorded dimensions. Total surface area is the area of the whole object, including the curved surface, lateral faces, and the area of the base. The process of calculating the surface area of the prism involves the following steps: Step 1: Begin by recording the provided dimensions of the prism. Lateral surface area is the area the polygon faces of the object, not including the top and bottom bases. An example of a curved region would be the cap area of a hemisphere or capsule. Surface area of triangular prism is the total area covered by its surface in three dimensional plane. If the base triangle has a base of length b and a height of h, the area can be calculated using the formula: 0.5 b h. Start by adding the area of the two triangular bases. There are several types of surface area: curved surface area, lateral surface area, and total surface area.Ĭurved surface area is the area of the curved regions of an object. To calculate the total surface area of the triangular prism, simply add together the areas of all its faces obtained in the previous steps. Go to File -> Save -> Save Image and save your file Repeat the process and add icons for “Top-right”, “Bottom-left” and “Bottom-right”.Jot down (or copy and paste) the latitude and longitude coordinates somewhere you can access later.Move the icon from the middle of the screen to the top left corner of the map.Press F11 to make your map go full screen. This will reset the view angle to be “top down” and rotates the map so that it is “north up” Navigate to the area and extent that you want to use in ArcMap.Go to Tools -> Options, and change the “Show Lat/Long” option to “Decimal Degrees”.In the Layers panel, turn everything off. Then, you will add 4 control points on each corner of the image, record their latitude/longitude coordinates, and export the image as a jpg file. You will navigate to the location in Google Earth that you want to bring in to ArcMap. One huge advantage of using Google Earth imagery is that you will be able to bring in historical data that is now available. As an alternative method to bring in satellite imagery into ArcMap, the following tutorial guides you through the steps of bringing in selected screenshots from Google Earth into ArcMap. However, this requires a robust network connection because you are constantly feeding in live data from their servers. ArcMap 10 now allows you to bring in Bing Maps imagery as baselayers to your project. Low memory available, stability problems may occur. However, since a lot of people got AE a long time ago and the user agreement back then didn't say anything about this software (of course), then to slip in several applications by a third party company onto a computer that did not *specifically* agree to them is an incredibly deceptive business practice. If you just now noticed these programs but have been using AE for years, then you don't have anything to worry about. They automatically installed with After Effects starting about 2 or 3 years ago. If they did try to pull some kind of Symantec/Norton Antivirus bulls*** and covertly turn your computer into a bitcoin mining machine, that would be the end of a lot of people's Adobe subscriptions. If it did, that would be the straw that breaks the camel's back with Adobe. It does NOT use a cloud service to automatically add your computer to a render farm, thank goodness. They allow you to effectively use a render farm to speed up After Effects rendering, but only if you yourself set it up. What is (Maxon) Team Render Server and Team Render Client? So for anyone who would like the know what I managed to find after, yes, reading through the user manuals and license agreements, taking a deep dive into Maxon's videos - as well as transcripts of their videos - I've managed to find the answer to the questions people have actually been asking on this topic that Adobe's Support Community seems to not want to give a direct answer to: Typically when I'm at work and a customer asks me a question, I don't just hand them a pamphlet over and over again saying "It's all right here," what I do is ANSWER THE G** D*** QUESTION. Second, the answers provided on the " After Effects installed 7 Cinema 4D apps " thread where a "Support Professional" named Warren didn't actually answer anyone's questions but simply reposted the user manuals over and over again. So kudos to you Support "Professionals" for not actually supporting anyone on this topic in particular. We came here for answers *because* those resources don't tell you about the things you want to actually know about how the software itself functions behind-the-scenes. Every thread I found was just some "Adobe Community Professionals" telling people - over and over again - to read the license agreements and user manuals. I scoured the internet for hours trying to find sufficient answers to what the programs were and what they do.įirst of all, a big round of applause to the Adobe Support Community for not actually answering anyone's questions on this topic. I recently noticed that after installing After Effects on my newest workstation that several other applications were installed that I was surprised by and totally unfamiliar with: Maxon Cinema 4D stuff. New to posting here, but I've been using Adobe products (starting with Premiere Pro) since 2001, 21 years now. For a floor system you can find the individual weights of drywall, strapping, floor joists, subfloor, underlayment and carpet in an architectural handbook like Architectural Graphic Standards. To determine the dead load value for a given floor or roof system, the weight of all permanently installed materials in a given component are added together. Unlike stiffness, live loads and dead loads are added together to determine minimum design values for strength. Joists, and rafters must be strong enough not to break when loaded. Strength of a material is obviously important. Attic floors with limited storage L/240 & 10 psf.Bedrooms and habitable attic floors L/360 & 30 psf.Examples of code-prescribed deflection limits and live load values are: These limits are based on live loads and activities experienced in specific rooms of a house. Typical deflection limits referenced in code books are L/360, L/240 or L/180. Drywall attached to the underside of this system is not expected to crack when the floor joist system deflects 1/3″. For example: a floor joist appropriately selected to span 10 feet with an L/360 limit will deflect no more than 120″/360 = 1/3 inches under maximum design loads. They are expressed as a fraction clear span in inches (L) over a given number. Maximum deflection limits are set by building codes. Only live loads are used to calculate design values for stiffness. In other words, how much a joist or rafter bends under the maximum expected load. Stiffness of structural members is limited by maximum allowable deflection. Perhaps the joists were strong enough if they didn’t break! But lack of stiffness leads to costly problems. For example, first-floor ceiling plaster would crack as occupants walked across a second-floor bedroom that was framed with bouncy floor joists. Strength and stiffness are equally important. Beams, studs, joists and rafters act as a structural skeleton and must be strong enough and stiff enough to resist these loads. The house acts as a structural system resisting dead loads (weight of materials), live loads (weights imposed by use and occupancy), like snow loads and wind loads. This article will focus on how simple beams like joists and rafters react to loading. If, when the loads of the house are combined, the house weighs more than the soil can support – the house will sink until it reaches a point at which the soil can support the load. Remember when your science teacher said: every action has an opposite and equal reaction? Well every building load has an equal “reaction load”. The structural goal of a house is to safely transfer building loads (weights) through the foundation to the supporting soil. A complete analysis of wood’s mechanical properties is complex, but understanding a few basics of lumber strength will allow you to size joists and rafters with the use of span tables. Wood is naturally engineered to serve as a structural material: The stem of a tree is fastened to the earth at its base (foundation), supports the weight of its branches (column) and bends as it is loaded by the wind (cantilever beam).
